Locating analog signals in vehicles is undoubtedly becoming more and more difficult, due to the speed with which in-vehicle CAN technology is developing. And if an analog signal is actually available, diverting part of that signal in order to serve an after-market system can sometimes give rise to problems. Problems inside the vehicle itself, and/or problems with the operation of the system being installed. In those cases, it may be necessary to optimise the analog signal using an API.
