Locating analog signals in vehicles is undoubtedly becoming more and more difficult, due to the speed with which in-vehicle CAN technology is developing. And if an analog signal is actually available, diverting part of that signal in order to serve an after-market system can sometimes give rise to problems. Problems inside the vehicle itself, and/or problems with the operation of the system being installed. In those cases, it may be necessary to optimise the analog signal using an API.

Do you have special requirements relating to the use of analog signals? For example, are you looking for a feed that will cease to operate above 20 km/h? Or do you wish to switch something on or off when the vehicle reaches a certain speed or rev count? If so, why not take a look at our SpeedSwitch product page?

Occasionally, it may be the case that certain signals are exclusively mechanical. In vehicles built before 1995, the speedometer is still sometimes operated via a speedometer cable. If so, simply ask us and we will be able to provide you with a suitable pulse generator.
